I found out a day ago that an alleged close friend of mine has disowned my blog from his blogroll.hmpf.
he chuckles "the others in my blogroll have atleast maintained their standards. your previous post ( referring to my apparently pathetic attempt to rhyme) was just plain weird."
banishment struck hard!
sensitive ol' me thought about it, contemplated my next step. various options seemed plausible including-
* crying incessantly
* blaming the world for this tragic mishap.
* drowning my deep sorrow in a shot glass of vodka.
* well, make that various shot glasses of vodka.
* listening to lots of christian rock. and brandi carlile- tragedy.
* trying to induce some guilt trips... "how could you DO this?? how???" ( THAT never works with that cold hearted scoundrel)

they say that good can come out of every situation. and this is my silver lining- i got a topic to blog about! ye-ahhh!


which brings to mind a George Carlin quote- "And remember - behind every silver lining, there’s a big dark cloud! "

this year i shall-

* focus.
* talk less, listen more. :)
* write.
* study. ok ill try to.
* travel.
* be happy.
* not be conflicted.
* not break any of the above.

glow in the dark,
faces
look up

standing still
recognizing the signs
reflecting on matters all

a slight pause
and a moment's hesitation
evoking pain, uneasiness

a need,
a growing desire
slowly building up
to completion

break free.
